Applied Mathematics Methods
Description
This course will cover the following topics:
- Asymptotic methods for differential equations (including multiple scales and boundary layers, singular perturbations, matched asymptotics)
- Contour integral methods for differential equations
- Numerical methods (including IVPs, BVPs, numerical linear algebra, practical optimization)
The course will be assessed by three assignments.
The lecture on Wednesday 30 November 2011 is CANCELLED.
